Congo Masonic Lodge has occupied the crest of this hill, on the corner of Chicken House Road (current day Steel Bridge Road ) and Thompson Dairy Road , since November 19, 1947. That was the year it was chartered by the Grand Lodge of Arkansas, Free and Accepted Masons. In 1975, the Men and Ladies of Congo Hill Chapter Number 620, Order of the Eastern Star began meeting here also. This little country lodge maintains a membership of around 100.
